Steel cut oats with cinnamon and fruit

A morning staple that can be prepared the night before.

  • 1/4 cup steel cut oats

  • 1 cup filtered water

  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, or other fruit like bananas, prunes, raisins. 

place all ingredients in a sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 30-45 minutes. If mornings are a time crunch, assemble the night before, bring to a quick boil, cover and all you have to do is heat and eat in the morning.
